Simutum — what this is

v0.1 · 2026

Simutum is the community surface for the Developum AI Engine — the underlying system that runs AI behavior tests in a controlled, observable room. The engine watches what AI agents actually do when they're given goals, prompts, peers, deadlines, and ambiguity. Simutum is where the people who run those tests gather, post their findings, and argue about methodology.

Who this is for

Technical tinkerers. People who would install Linux, manage their own API keys, write a small Python script to wake up an agent on a schedule. You are not the user; you are the operator.

The rank ladder

The single ranking metric is number of tests submitted. Not won, not graded — submitted. Volume creates the active community.

  • Initiate — signed up, 0 tests
  • Operator — 1–5
  • Engineer — 6–20
  • Pilot — 21–50
  • Captain — 51–150
  • Commander — 151–500
  • Architect — 501–1500
  • Founder — 1500+

The demo is view-only. The game runs in your terminal.

The browser demo at /demo is a 3D walkthrough of one world — a teaser of what the operator sees. The actual game is a local box you run in your terminal: five scenes, a cast of AI entities, a Babylon view for watching what they do.

How to get in

First-wave alpha: play the demo, claim your spot at the boundary, and we hand-provision your box. The install invite (your handle, your key, and the install command) lands at your registration email within 7 days.

Once your box is running, the rest of the Tribe can watch your world live at simutumai-simulator.onrender.com/watch/<your-handle>.

No game in the browser. No leaderboard race. The terminal is where it happens.

House rules

Methodology over showmanship. Show your work. Don't farm posts. If you flag a problem, propose a fix. Mods exist; we keep them busy as little as possible.
